Casino floor hours

Play on the casino floor begins at 9 a.m. and closes at 1 a.m., Sunday to Thursday. Both Friday and Saturday are 24-hour days on the floor. That means the floor opens Thursday morning and runs without a break into the weekend.

Sunday is less clear. The posted schedule shows Saturday as open 24 hours and Sunday as opening at 9 a.m. It is not clear if the floor is open from midnight to 9 a.m. on Sunday, so the Tally desk marks that stretch as not published. The Arcade Bar and the restaurants

The Arcade Bar is on the casino floor. Daily, starting at 9 a.m. until 1 a.m., it serves pre-made items and an Arcade menu. Those hours stay the same on Friday and Saturday, when the floor itself is open 24 hours.

The two restaurants work differently. MATCH Eatery & Public House, a pub built around sports, keeps its own hours. The Buffet has no regular published hours, so a call to 519-364-7606 before the drive is worth making.

The simulcast theatre

A simulcast is horse racing from other tracks, broadcast live on screens as each race is run. In a simulcast theatre, people watch those races and can place wagers on them.

The Hanover Raceway Simulcast Theatre is at the back of the casino. Its hours are Monday, Tuesday and Thursday, 12 p.m. to 7 p.m. On Friday and Saturday it opens at 12 p.m. and closes at 9:30 p.m. Sunday and Wednesday are different: the TVs are on, but no staff are on site.
