Where to get help

  • ConnexOntario gives free, confidential help 24/7. Phone 1-866-531-2600, chat online through connexontario.ca, or send CONNEX by text to 247247.
  • With My PlayBreak, any Ontario casino can be closed to you for 1 to 5 years, or for a shorter break of 3 months or 6 months. To enrol, call 1-800-387-0098 for the OLG Support Centre, ask staff on site, or visit a PlaySmart Centre.
  • BetGuard (betguard.ca) shuts you out of every Ontario online gambling site under regulation, OLG.ca as well. Pick 6 months, 1 year, 5 years or a length you set, but it does not reach land-based casinos, meaning the ones you walk into.
  • PlaySmart, at playsmart.ca, is OLG's responsible gambling site.

A limit set at home

Set two numbers at home, before the drive: your play limit and your stop time. A play limit is the sum you choose for play. Treat it as spent, the price of the evening, not money expected back. Leave at home any bank card you do not need. Closing time is 1 a.m. on Sundays to Thursdays.

Friday and Saturday are different: the casino is open 24 hours, with no 1 a.m. close to lean on. On those nights the stop time has to come from you.

About the Tally desk

Tally desk is a group name, not a single person, and it writes and signs the guide. Bylines and named authors appear nowhere on the site. Facts come from the pages of Playtime Casino Hanover, Hanover Raceway and the operator Gateway Casinos. Others come from OLG's casino list and from Ontario sources. All were checked on October 3, 2026, and times are Eastern time.

No prices appear in the evening estimate, because prices change. It uses only numbers you type in: fuel use in litres per 100 km, the pump price and money for food and drinks. A play limit and the hours of the visit complete it. The tool works in your open tab, and your colour theme is kept there too. Views are logged with no cookie, and an outside counter learns which page sent you.

Distances are straight lines between the casino's map point and OpenStreetMap town points (© OpenStreetMap contributors). A road is always longer.

This site has seven pictures, all flat pastel illustrations drawn with an image generator, and no people in any of them. Four were drawn from real photographs of the casino and raceway, each with its own angle and light. They show the long block wall on 5th Street, the entrance corridor, the Simulcast Theatre and fish and chips. The sign panel on the building is left blank. The other three show no real place: a farm road, keys and a map on a table, a car in a lot.

Short answers

Is ConnexOntario open at night?
Yes, its help is free, confidential and available 24/7. Dial 1-866-531-2600, chat online at connexontario.ca, or send CONNEX as a text to 247247.
Is it possible to end a My PlayBreak term before it runs out?
No, once a My PlayBreak term starts, it cannot be ended early. So choose with care: the term can be 3 months, 6 months, or any length from 1 to 5 years. During a casino break, you may not enter any casino in Ontario.
Does the estimate save what you type in?
No, nothing you type is kept, and your colour choice stays in this browser. Visits are tallied cookie-free, but an outside counter gets your network address, browser and page opened. You will find no forms here, no comment box and no account to open.
